---------------------------------------------------------------------- PAO for 3.5.1-RELEASE PC Card and APM driver package for Nomadic user of FreeBSD Tatsumi Hosokawa , Tokyo Japan BSD-nomads team ---------------------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT NOTE: I'm now planning to merge some features of PAO that can be considered stable, and incorporate recent changes to -CURRENT into PAO. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- What's PAO? PAO is a package that supports moble computing on FreeBSD. Part of old PAO packages have been incorporated into original FreeBSD souce tree, and now also the code in this package is waiting for integration. Part of codes in PAO has been less reviewed and it includes some experimental (pre-alpha level) codes that is not suited to be incorported into the original source tree at current status, but PAO is more useful and support more card compared to current FreeBSD PC Card support. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- PAO-FAQ -> Please read ./PAO-FAQ and the latest version at: http://home.jp.FreeBSD.org/~toshi/PAO3/PAO-FAQ.html Supported Cards Information -> Please read ./SUPPORTED_CARDS and the latest version at: http://home.jp.FreeBSD.org/~toshi/PAO3/SUPPORTED.CARDS Laptop Survey / FreeBSD -> Please read http://www.jp.FreeBSD.org/PAO/LAPTOP_SURVEY/ NEC Mobile Gear (sys/necmg) Users -> Please read http://www02.u-page.so-net.ne.jp/ca2/takemura/ (Japanese) NEC PC98 and compatible Users -> Please refer to http://www.tim.hi-ho.ne.jp/~kura/freebsd/index.html (Japanese) FreeBSD I18N PAO install floppy -> Please refer to http://www.jp.FreeBSD.org/BootAsia/ and http://www.jp.FreeBSD.org/PAO/#flp Optical disk driver -> Please read od-driver/README.od ftp://daemon.jp.FreeBSD.org/pub/FreeBSD-jp/OD/ ----------------------------------------------------------------- List of Companies that donated device drivers to our project: * Workbit Corporation (http://www.workbit.co.jp/) donated NinjaSCSI-3 driver.
